Seppur abbia subito una grava battuta d'arresto con l'avvento del peer Torrent, Emule continua ad essere utilizzato da molti utenti; è necessario però precisare che la quantità di virus presente all'interno della rete del Mulo è davvero ingente e un file su 5, dati alla mano, viene corrotto creando notevoli problemi al computer di chi lo utilizza.
